Sir Mix-A-Lot Performs ‘Baby Got Back’ with the Seattle Symphony – But That’s Not What Made This Video Viral!

Sir Mix-a-Lot recently performed his internationally known rap hit from the 90s – “Baby Got Back” – with the Seattle Symphony. You would think that this type of orchestration alone would make this video go viral. However, that is not the case whatsoever! Before Sir Mix-a-Lot began performing “Baby Got Back” on stage with the symphony, he invited a large group of women to the stage to perform as his impromptu, unrehearsed backup dancers. These women were more than excited about the opportunity and the fact that they were performing in front of the Seattle Symphony and thousands of people did not matter any more – especially once the beat dropped. It’s almost as if they were just at home with their closet friends or even at a nightclub, but their dancing is clearly what made this video go viral. “Baby Got Back” is definitely one of those timeless, classic songs that will always generate this type of response whenever, wherever and however it is performed.
