The Return of Serge Ibaka Kept the OKC Thunder Alive to Play Another Game in the Playoffs

The Oklahoma City Thunder was getting spanked in the NBA playoffs by the San Antonio Spurs game after game without letup. Since the Spurs were in the lead 2-0, the Thunder more than likely started to feel as the series slipping straight through their fingers – especially in the mind of this year’s MVP Kevin Durant. However, that is actually not the case at all – thanks to the return of Serge Ibaka. Serge Ibaka has been struggling with a calf injury that kept him out of this particular series – a void that could simply not be filled regardless of the vigorous efforts of his teammates. Fortunately, Serge Ibaka was able to return to the court yesterday in a way that many people hoped for but very few (in comparison) expected he would physically be able to pull off – allowing his team to finally win their first victory in this series. Hopefully, Serge Ibaka will be able to help his team continue their winning streak and crush the San Antonio Spurs so that they can progress to the Finals. Only time will tell…
