NBC Releases Controversial Video about Slavery for Black History Month

Saturday Night Live has always been known for straddling the fence between controversial and comedic, especially when it comes to major issues and current events (i.e. every single major political election in the US for the past four decades) However, they may have crossed the line with a video that aired during their most recent broadcast when they covered “28 Reasons to Hug a Black Guy Today” using the only three black cast members to sing a song referencing slavery in front of a class of white students and a white teacher.

What do YOU think? Comedic or controversial?
