The George Harrison Memorial Tree Dies in Perhaps the Most Ironic Way Possible!

George Harrison – one of the four boys from Liverpool that helped to change the dynamic of music forever! After George Harrison (songwriter for the Beatles) passed away, there was an official George Harrison memorial tree that was planted, watered and cared for over the years in his honor. The George Harrison Memorial Tree was actually a major tourism site and attraction – especially for Beatles fans. However, recent reports confirm that Beatles fans were not the only one that loved to come near and touch this tree. Ironically, actual beetles loved the tree even more. Their deadly infestation of this tree is what progressively killed it. Don’t you just love the irony? That’s right! The George Harrison memorial tree honoring this fallen but never forgotten member of The Beatles was infested, terrorized and eventually killed by actual beetles.
