Alec Baldwin has truly been known throughout the industry as being a “high-maintenance” individual. Rants, homophobic slurs, blown opportunities based on his ego, alcoholic and drug episodes, questionable marriages, expensive divorces, etc. However, what he has decided to do recently just might shock you.
He wrote an extensive, 5000-word essay for Vulture blog sponsored by New York Magazine recently that explained how the last straw for him and his overall frustration with being a celebrity in general came when the media and press labeled him as a “homophobic bigot” after his encounter with a paparazzo back in November of last year. He writes, “I loathe and despise the media in a way I did not think possible…This is the last time I’m going to talk about my personal life in an American publication again.”
What do YOU think? Is this just a publicity stunt used to draw more attention to this fading star? Or does he have a legitimate line o reasoning here?
